“At the end of a project, I love to look back at our very first meeting with my teammates, and to remember just how different the world was before we’d built something new together.”
Damon Young is a Senior Consultant who brings business and technology leaders together, applying digital innovation techniques, to get the most value from their IT portfolio investment.
As someone who was first introduced to the concept of Total Quality Management on his first internship in college, Damon believes that any enterprise can unlock unprecedented potential if everyone with a stake grasps the mission, the role they play, and the reward that both the organization and they themselves can reap if successful.
Early in his career, Damon built innovative e-commerce applications for BMG Entertainment, Standard & Poors, Nickelodeon, and others, and was a key member of the leadership teams that launched Amazon.com’s AppStore for Android and Hulu’s integrations with Facebook, Twitter, and a range of Pay TV providers. He designed the solution architecture for the first ever successful end-to-end scalability test for one of the largest managed care providers in the United States as they prepared for an order-of-magnitude increase in health insurance claims as a part of the Affordable Care Act. He then created a testing framework for this same managed care provider to discover tens of thousands of previously undocumented coverage discrepancies in their legacy membership database.
Damon is a Certified Scrum Master and has been certified in Change Management Methodology by PROSCI. Damon also holds a patent related to timeline-based user comments in streaming video.
Damon holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in for Computer Science from Princeton University as well as a Masters in Fine Art for Screenwriting from the American Film Institute Graduate Conservatory.
